Here are two random hip hop posters i found researching the artists. These two caught my eye, both for different reason, however at closer inspection they have similarities. Both of the posters give clear, physical representations of the artists in realistic illustrations and pictures of them. They also have a element of graphite which i also found out in my early research in my diagram, that hip hop shares a street culture. However although i prefer the illustration/cartoon style more on the second poster and is a style i think i am best suited to, but i really like the way the texture, stencilled face, paint splatters and typography all works really well in the first painting. The complementary colours of the teal blue and the orange gives it a punch, and although it is a lot in one poster it is not overwhelming. On the second poster I like the layout a lot more, the face being the most central thing about it not making it top heavy of image such as the first poster.
